What does the Metropolitan specialize in?
The Metropolitan specializes in anti-aging, beauty and wellness services. We bring together the most talented experts, desired services and effective products to offer the most complete anti-aging, beauty and wellness experience.
What hours is the Metropolitan open?
The Metropolitan is open 6 days a week. Our hours are from 9am-6pm on Monday; 9am-9pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 9am-6pm on Friday; and 8am-3pm on Saturday.
Does the Metropolitan offer free parking?
Yes. The Metropolitan has ample free and easy-access parking available for all guests. You will never have trouble finding a place to park when you visit The Metropolitan!
How much do consultations cost?
The Metropolitan offers complimentary consultations for all services offered.
Are your services expensive?
Even with the most talented experts and top of the line services and products, we are competitively priced.
What forms of payment does the Metropolitan accept?
The Metropolitan accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. The Metropolitan does not accept checks.

Does laser hair removal hurt?
Not at the Metropolitan! We offer the latest in cutting-edge technology so your laser hair removal experience is pain-free and there is no downtime.
Does laser hair removal require more than one treatment?
The Metropolitan recommends a series of laser hair removal treatments six to eight weeks apart to ensure maximum hair reduction.
Does laser skin rejuvenation and skin tightening really work, and does it hurt?
Both laser skin rejuvenation and skin tightening really do work. Both use AFT Light Therapy to target age spots, discoloration, capillaries, and sagging skin. We recommend a series of treatments to ensure you achieved your desired results. Both laser skin rejuvenation and skin tightening are virtually pain-free, however, some patients who are sensitive to heat may experience mild discomfort. There is no downtime.
What is Laser Pixel used for?
Laser Pixel is used for patients who have acne scarring, uneven skin texture, and severe sun damage. Laxer pixel can be used over the entire face or for spot treatments. A series of treatments is recommended for maximum results. Because this is considered a more invasive treatment, it does require follow-up care with the Metropolitan as well as minimal downtime (a long weekend).
What is Botox? Is it safe, and how is is applied?
Botox is a safe purified protein that is injected info facial muscles to relax and soften facial lines and wrinkles. Results can last up to four months.
What is Juvéderm, and how does it work?
Juvéderm is the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid gel that helps replace the hyaluronic acid your skin has lost. It adds volume to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm is safe, effective and can last up to a full year with only one treatment. There is little to no discomfort and no downtime with this treatment.
Does skin peeling occur with all chemical peels?
Depending on the level of peel and the aggressiveness, some individuals experience mild flaking while others may experience a higher level of peeling. Your skin care expert will discuss the potential side-effects of any peel you receive.
What makes the Metropolitan’s microdermabrasion treatment better than others?
The Metropolitan uses a medical grade microdermabrasion machine that provides superior results in a shorter amount of time.
Does having a permanent cosmetics treatment hurt, and how many sessions does it take?
A topical anesthesia is applied so there is no pain with a permanent cosmetics treatment. A minimum of two sessions held three weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
Can you choose different colors for the permanent cosmetics?
Yes, different colors are available for permanent cosmetics (lip, brow and eyeliner). Your skin care expert will consult with you and advise you on the perfect choice of color to enhance your natural skin tone and eye, brow and hair color.
For services like massage, do I have to remove all my clothes?
At the Metropolitan, we care about your comfort level first and foremost. For massage therapy services where we require you to remove clothing, you may undress to your personal comfort level (i.e.: you can choose to keep your undergarments on). Careful draping procedures are used at all times so you are never exposed.
Is the salon at the Metropolitan walk-in or by appointment only?
We highly recommend appointments for all of the services we offer, including our salon, to ensure you receive your services on the day and time you desire. However, we always welcome walk-ins and will do our best to accommodate you.
Are all of your salon services the same price for all stylists?
Prices vary per stylist in our salon based on their education, experience and performance.
What product line is used in the salon? Are the products available for purchase?
The Metropolitan uses Aquage shampoos, conditioners and styling products in all hair services. The same products are available for purchase in the retail area. Aquage products are superior hair care products. They are sulfate-free, paraben-free and are gentle on colored hair. Healing sea botanicals seal in hair color and restore healthy condition and feel. They also include an exclusive Thermal-V complex, which shields hair color from heat styling damage.
Will my insurance cover chiropractic care?
Care Chiropractic at the Metropolitan accepts all major insurance plans as well as insurance from automobile accidents and work related injuries. We coordinate the verification and filing of your insurance claims so that you can solely focus on getting better. If you do not have insurance, Care Chiropractic at the Metropolitan will work with you to make your care as affordable as possible.
What does a wellness coach do?
A wellness coach works with you to change your behaviors through education, motivational enhancement, and cognitive-behavioral interventions. A wellness coach uses these techniques to improve health-related outcomes. At the Metropolitan, your wellness coach will meet with you face-to-face, send texts and emails, and recommend reading materials and outside professionals, if necessary, to encourage and support your growth and positive change.
Why should I get a wellness coach?
A wellness coach can help anyone who wants to make a change in their life but who is struggling to stick with it. At the Metropolitan, your wellness coach can help you to quit smoking, adhere to a workout regime or medication/supplement routine, lose weight, teach healthy communication skills to improve relationships, and more.
Does insurance cover wellness coaching at the Metropolitan?
Some insurance plans may cover coaching services for people with specific health-related issues. We encourage you to check with your insurer to see what wellness services may be covered for you.
